nth Generation Fund for Indigenous peoples has been a successful 501(3)(c) organization for the past forty years. In the past years they have organized Mother Earth Day events, in order to raise the unity and interconnectedness of human lives with our planet earth. This years Mother Earth Day celebration will be a call to action through music to ‘wake up’ and ‘warrior up' through self-awareness and self-empowerment. The headliner to this event is Nataanii Means along with other indigenous hip hop artists that focus their lyrical art on self determination, resilience, indigenous rights, water, and liberation from systems of oppression.

This project is led by David Marshall and Tamara Barriquand with the help of HSU student facilitators. The project is a Native American youth outreach program designed to encourage STEM through the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), known as drones. This four week summer program guides high school students through a ground pilot school that will earn them a FAA UAS Pilot's License, while also providing presentations, tutorials and activities related to aviation, environmental and applied sciences, and GIS. One goal of the program is to help underrepresented communities earn a pilot's license that can introduce them to new career opportunities in a variety of fields.

Music and Mindfulness is a project created in partnership with Trinidad Elementary School to assess the efficacy of using therapeutic drumming and mindfulness for substance abuse prevention. This project combines research from Trauma-Informed practices, Relational Theory, and emotional awareness to assist students in building healthy relationships and increasing self-esteem.

I was assigned to do a research paper in my capstone art history class (410W). This poster explores the life and art of Miné Okubo, highlighting her experiences as an artist and her commitment to using art as a tool for social commentary and cultural expression. Okubo's journey is traced from her early artistic training with Fernand Léger in Paris to her internment in the Topaz camp during World War II and her subsequent artistic endeavors.

As a senior in Environmental Studies I have chosen to complete my service learning capstone project at the Campus Center for Appropriate Technology (CCAT) since I am one of the co-directors managing the non-profit organization. CCAT is a student run sustainable living demonstration site that utilizes appropriate technology. While at CCAT I have analyzed and critiqued how social systems and natural systems overlay one another creating a sustainable relationship. Living lighter and in tune with the local environment is not only doable but rewarding and beneficial. My service learning project has helped to fill part of the gap between where I am now and where I aim to be professionally.

It examines how factors such as screen time, social comparison, cyberbullying, and digital connectivity influence psychological well-being, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and sleep quality. This study aims to provide insights into both the risks and potential benefits of digital engagement among youth, contributing to strategies for healthier technology use.
Equity Gaps Among Diverse CSU Student Groups

Crutchfield and Maguire (2018, 2019) completed basic needs assessments of the CSU system and data from those will be analyzed to explore equity gaps among diverse student groups reporting food and housing insecurity with focus on hours worked, and hours of familial obligations. A policy recommendation is for university volunteer and internship hours to count as an eligibility exemption for CalFresh .
Making Sense of Dyspraxic Senses using Exercise, the Effects of Bodyweight Exercises on Proprioception in Individuals with Developmental Coordination Disorder

People with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) have poor motor coordination which interferes with daily activities of living. One potential reason for the impairment of motor skills that people with DCD have a decreased sense of proprioception. Proprioception is the sense of where your body is in space and where body parts are in relation to one another. Exercise can increase proprioception. The purpose of this project is to investigate the effects of bodyweight exercise (BWE) in proprioception in people with DCD. BWE have been found to increase proprioception, static and dynamic balance, and motor function.
The Rate and Incidences of Non-Predictive Concussions among Adolescents Participating in High School Sports Using SCAT-5 and TRAZER

There are many barriers to reporting symptoms after a head injury, especially among adolescents. This research study aims to help identify and implement a more detailed approach that will raise awareness of the clinical vigilance and maintenance of Sports-Related Concussions (SRC) that assist in return play decision-making for athletes. The primary purpose of this presentation is to identify non-predictive incidences of sub-concussions among participating subjects using neurocognitive assessments SCAT-5 and TRAZER. Neurocognitive assessments like SCAT-5 and TRAZER can help with the early recognition of sub-concussive impacts and is most beneficial in tracking concussion recovery.
The Impact of a Teacher Developed Physical Fitness Program on the Self-Perception and Basketball Skills of Two High School Students

This study has two purposes: (a) to determine the effect of a teacher-developed physical fitness program on the performance of specific participant goals for the game of basketball and (b) to determine the impact of this same program on the overall perception of the participants amongst their peers when participating in the game of basketball. The participants in this study included two high school males. Participant 1 had diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and was provided services through a 504 plan. This study occurred over a 7-week period with the pre and post assessments taking place in the 1st and 7th week.
